12 foot long Burmese Python Found in Florida City

A barbecue grill in Florida City was witness to a 12 foot long Burmese python, this Thursday night. Arnold Piedrahita Jr  attached with the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said that they had managed to nab the python after the residents called them frantically for help. By 10 pm, the  python was captured and handed over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Though Burmese pythons belong to Southeast Asia, the ones in South Florida are considered ‘invasive species’. The large body size makes it difficult for any other creatures to intimidate the reptile except for a few crocodiles and human beings.
