Best Movies

The 1. 61 meter tall (5 feet 2 inches) actress debuted in the 2004 Bollywood movie Kyun! Ho Gaya Na. The movie was a big flop, after which she turned her attention to the South Indian film industry.  Her first South Indian film was a Telugu movie called Lakshmi Kalyanam (2007) which did average business. Nevertheless, her first big hit was the movie Chandamama (2007). Kajal rode the popularity stakes with the trend-setting Magadheera (2009) which is incidentally one of the biggest hits in South Indian cinema.   She went on to work in a string of Telugu films which were either hits or did average business.

Kajal went on to star in a few Tamil projects, carving a formidable name for herself especially in movies like Thupakki and Jilla.  She made a comeback in Bollywood with the hugely successful Singham (2011) and followed it up with Special 26 (2013) which though a big hit, did not have much scope for her to act.

Kajal Agarwal – on her boyfriend

Kajal has maintained that she believes in keeping working relationships strictly professional. She says that she likes Vijay Joseph in the Tamil film industry because he is friendly but not overfriendly.  She says that is natural to get attracted to male-costars but she never crosses the limits. She says, “Infact, I don’t even become friends with them. I may invite them home for lunch but that’s about it. I have had two boyfriends in my life, one before I became an actor and the other after; and both were from outside the film industry. The last relationship did not work because we need to give time and have to be physically present, which is not possible with me at this point of time.”
